There is no "L" in the word "both" -- it's not pronounced "bolth".
There is a "Y" and an "O" in "crayon" and "mayonnaise" -- it's not pronounced "cran" and "mannaise".
that is all.

You don't want to keep stuff like this bottled up inside

I love saying "bolth" because it is hilarious.
Ah.
Let us not forget those rotten sadsacks who swallow their Ls. There is NOTHING worse than listening to some "person" gargle their way through the Engglish gnglanguage.
I threw this post out in a fit of spite after hearing a co-worker talk up how smart her son is (he's been accepted into Cornell. "How many parents can say THAT?" Well, plenty, actually) and then say that "bolth" her kids were geniuses. Actually, my real joy is in hearing the disappearance of consonants altogether: Belee me, I unnerstan the innernet. Kevin Costner is a master of it.
Unrelated. You need to check out this fine blog that features many posts on vintage auto-motorcycle racing... from a sartorial angle:

I'll be quizzing you on loafer brands at our next gathering...
Where oh where do I get a horse bit print shirt? I wonder if it's silk.
